Doctors recommend ‘gastrointestinal examination’ for Bushra Bibi

Medical Team Advises ‘Gastrointestinal Assessment’ for Bushra Bibi

A three-member medical team from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) recommended that Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, undergo a “gastroenterology review” to evaluate potential underlying medical concerns related to her stomach and intestines.

Sources revealed that the doctors provided this advice after conducting a medical examination at Bibi’s residence in Bani Gala, treating it as a sub-jail for the former prime minister’s wife.

The team, consisting of Dr. Bushra Liaquat, Dr. Hira, and Dr. Sidra (a cardiologist), examined Bibi and suggested dietary and lifestyle changes.

The medical team visited Bani Gala late on Monday night to conduct the examination, which lasted approximately 75 minutes.

Earlier, Bibi underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation supervised by Khan’s family physician, and a private hospital in Islamabad conducted diagnostic tests, including endoscopy.

Although she declined a blood test, other tests such as ultrasound, echo, and ECG were performed. Dr. Asim Yousuf, Khan’s physician, was present during the examination.

The hospital sources confirmed that Bibi’s medical reports were cleared, indicating only a minor gastric issue.
