Iran initiates drone strikes against Israel

Iran Launches Drone Attacks on Israel, Heightening Tensions

Iran conducted numerous drone attacks on Israel, as confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the White House.

Described as “extensive drone strikes” by Iranian Press TV, the Revolutionary Guards were responsible for the attacks.

The IDF reported over 100 drones launched by Iran towards Israel, alongside missile strikes as part of “Operation True Promise.”

Iran attributed these actions to retaliation for an attack on its consulate in Syria, which it blames on Israel.

Iran’s Defence Minister warned against allowing airspace for attacks on Iran. Yemen’s Huthi rebels, backed by Iran, also launched drones at Israel in coordination with Iran. Israeli authorities are on high alert, expecting potential drone attacks on ports, which could cause collateral damage to shipping.

The drones, flying over Iraqi airspace, could take hours to reach Israel, prompting advanced warnings and heightened anxiety among the public.
