Eid ul Fitr Celebrations: Moon Sighted in Pakistan, Dates Confirmed for Various Countries

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee declared the sighting of the Shawwal moon in Pakistan, indicating that Eid ul Fitr will be observed tomorrow (Wednesday).

Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced the decision after a meeting in Islamabad, citing testimonies from various regions.

However, Karachi, Lahore, and Quetta did not report sightings. Despite this, the committee received over 20 testimonies, including from Sheikhupura.

Representatives from the meteorology department, Suparco, and the Ministry of Science and Technology were present at the meeting.

Meanwhile, India and Bangladesh will celebrate Eid on Thursday, as the moon was not sighted there.

Eid will also be observed tomorrow in Saudi Arabia, Australia, the UK, and the UAE, where Ramadan will conclude after a full 30 days.
