Sajal Ali: Recognized and Celebrated with Prestigious Civil Awards for Outstanding Contributions

Several notable figures in the entertainment industry received civil awards during ceremonies held in the federal and provincial capitals to commemorate Pakistan Day.

Famed Pakistani actress Sajal Ali was honored with the esteemed Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence) for her outstanding contributions to acting, particularly her work internationally.

The accolade was presented to her by Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman during a ceremony in Lahore, on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari.

President Asif Ali Zardari has honored the renowned musician Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan with Pakistan’s second highest civilian award, the “Hilal-e-Imtiaz,” in recognition of his significant contributions to the Pakistani and South Asian music industry. The award was presented at Aiwan-e-Sadr on the eve of Pakistan Day.

Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was acknowledged for his exceptional services in the fields of arts, Qawwali, and singing, as well as for his efforts in promoting Pakistani arts globally through his live performances of Qawwali and modern music.

Expressing his gratitude, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan stated, “I am deeply honored to receive the prestigious Hilal-e-Imtiaz & Sitara-I-Imtiaz awards from the esteemed President. I am thankful to my family, friends, and loyal fans for their unwavering support throughout my journey.” He also emphasized his commitment to continuing his pursuit of excellence with the encouragement of his supporters.

Additionally, seasoned actor and host Adnan Siddiqui was honored with the Presidential Pride of Performance award, recognizing his notable achievements in various fields such as art, science, literature, sports, and nursing.
