President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan engaged in discussions to bolster bilateral relations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during a recent phone call.

The conversation, outlined in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), highlighted mutual interests and emphasized the need for further strengthening ties across various domains.

During the call, Zardari extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Erdoğan, slated for April 10, and invited him to visit Pakistan, conveying warm wishes to the Turkish president and the nation.

Zardari, re-elected as the 14th president on March 10 with substantial support from allied parties, previously served as Pakistan’s head of state from 2008 to 2013 and currently holds a seat in the National Assembly since August 2018.
